There is more than one way to enjoy a convention. One of those ways could make attending free, and others can even earn you spending money. When a simple action can make your convention-going dreams more attainable, it becomes a win-win for everybody.
What do Volunteers do?
A convention is the furthest thing from a one person show. It takes many hands to keep these wheels turning. From checking guests in to checking badges at the doors, there are tasks suited to everybody.
- Checking badges at the entrances
- Checking cosplay accessories to make sure they are strictly props and non functional
- Checking in guests and handing out badges at the counter
- Monitor the vendor area and be available to answer any questions guests may have
- Act as a liaison for the special guests and VIP badge holders
- Security (Trouble prevention)
- After Hours Security (Monitoring the halls and ensuring the vendor area doors stay locked after hours). This option is great for those who want to enjoy the convention during the day and only want to work a few hours at night or in the early morning.

How do you become an Ambassador?
In order to join the team, you will need to become familiar with an application called PromoTix Ambassador. PromoTix Ambassador is a mobile app, and with it you can sell digital tickets to your family and friends right through the app! All Ambassador team members will be required to use PromoTix Ambassador for Fiction & Fantasy Convention for sales to count.
STEP 1: Please follow these instructions to download the PromoTix Ambassador mobile app to your smartphone.
STEP 2: Follow the instructions linked above to sign up for a PromoTix account, and then login to the mobile app.
STEP 2: After you login, enter in this program code to join the official Fiction & Fantasy Convention Ambassador Program: “FicFanCon”
